Seeing a Convergence of God Activity (Ep 11)

In this episode, we underscore the legal nature of prayer. Then we pray together over what seems to be a convergence of God activity in societies: repentance with Christ-followers, exposure of evil, and early signs of societal transformation in some countries.

Welcome to the Wild Ox Prayer podcast — tight episodes, about 10 mins or less. You’ll have to listen to appreciate the name!

Pray with me. Each episode highlights a fresh Kingdom Prayer Dynamic. And then we activate a prayer edge in culture, society, and the nations.

Psalm 92.10 — “My horn (symbol of strength and warfare) You have exalted like a wild ox; I have been anointed with fresh oil.”

Wild Ox prayer. Untamed, mighty prayer for culture, society, and the nations.

Go Deeper

It would be of course a low voltage spiritual life in which prayer was chiefly undertaken as a discipline, rather than as a way of co-laboring with God to accomplish good things and advancing his Kingdom purposes.

Scripture

But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you. And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment … regarding judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged. Jesus in John 16:7-11 NASB.

Now the seventy-two returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name!” And He said to them, “I watched Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Behold, I have given you authority to walk on snakes and scorpions, and authority over all the power of the enemy, and nothing will injure you. Jesus in Luke 10:17-19 NASB.

Now He was telling them a parable to show that at all times they ought to pray and not become discouraged, saying, “In a certain city there was a judge who did not fear God and did not respect any person. Now there was a widow in that city, and she kept coming to him, saying, ‘Give me justice against my opponent.’ For a while he was unwilling; but later he said to himself, ‘Even though I do not fear God nor respect any person, yet because this widow is bothering me, I will give her justice; otherwise by continually coming she will wear me out.’” And the Lord said, “Listen to what the unrighteous judge *said; now, will God not bring about justice for His elect who cry out to Him day and night, and will He delay long for them? I tell you that He will bring about justice for them quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find faith on the earth?” Jesus in Luke 18:1-8 NASB

My heart is moved with a good theme; I address my verses to the King; My tongue is the pen of a ready writer. You are the most handsome of the sons of mankind; Grace is poured upon Your lips; Therefore God has blessed You forever. Strap Your sword on Your thigh, Mighty One, in Your splendor and majesty! And in Your majesty ride on victoriously, for the cause of truth, humility, and righteousness; let Your right hand teach You awesome things. Your arrows are sharp; the peoples fall under You; Your arrows are in the heart of the King’s enemies. Your throne, God, is forever and ever; the scepter of Your kingdom is a scepter of justice. Psalm 45:1-6 NASB
